Sleuths of National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesdaycarried out raids at the premises of a Budgam resident a day after they raidedthe house of two businessmen involved in cross Line of Control (LoC) trade inPulwama and Srinagar districts.
Sources told local media that on Wednesday afternoon NIA raided the house of Mohammed Afzal Mir son of Ali Mohammed Mir at his residence in Aripanthan in Central Kashmir’s Budgam District. They said that the NIA team reached the house of Afzal Mir, who is a businessman by profession, around 2 P Mand are conducting searches inside the house.
The Senior Superintendent of Jammu Kashmir Police for Budgam District, Amod Nagpuri speaking to media confirmed the raid saying that a raid was conducted at Arinpanthan in the house of Mohammed Afzal Mir.
The raids are part of the ongoing NIA investigation against suspected terror funding.A prominent Kashmiri businessman, Zahoor Watali and several separatist leaders have already been arrested by NIA so far.
